Last night I made a rust server with oxide installed. I want to be able to play with friends, and I want to use Hamachi. I don't know if I need to change to IP address of the server to the one on Hamachi. And if so, how? I currently can connect to the server with my PC IP.
PS: I'm running the current version of Oxide Experimental and Rust Server.
Running a Rust server through Hamachi?

I don't think you can use Hamachi for Rust. If you can, I personally as a player wouldn't want to download a program to connect.

I never use Hamachi or something like this....The only and better way i think is open the Ports for Rust and (Steam).
The friends need your IP : PORT to connect (client.connect IP : PORT)
Thats what i used -
well my router operator i have to pay money to get port forwarding... wich sucks... so i want do hamachi... ummmmmm... but how.

Maybe better for the start would be to rent a VPS server, you will get more players then trough hamachi, also more support and help
-
Question, why would you want to?
And never use VPS for game server, no one will play on it for the lag, you might as well get a Kimsufi dedicated for about £22 a month with i5 and 16GB of RAM. -
like for one month to test ect you know
