Try deleting the steamapps folder if hosting locally, then run SteamCMD again.

  7. How do I go about updating my addons from Oxide if I do not host locally

If you installed your plugins via FTP, just download, upload, and overwrite.

Are you sure Oxide is installed? It needs to be re-installed after any server/Steam updates.

  11. Hello, Wulf I have a question for you. I am an administrator for a Roleplay server that was using plugins. I manage the plugin instillation and set-up. I have a problem with plugins on the server. I have went through the things here on this list thus far. For a more detailed report this is what I have done thus far.

I have overwritten the current things already installed by the outdated Oxide. Replacing it with Oxide 3 (update) you did for it. Then I deleted the existing plugins on the server which are Grand Exhange, Deathmessages, War Tracker. Now I am a complete noob at this mind you. Last time I tried to modify anything on steam was Morrowind aaaaannnddd...thats a whole-nother ball park. I Then tried this same thing once more by overwriting then deleting and replacing the plugins. I tried the steam thing....and I dont own the server so when I deleted the steamapp folder...It did not come back on restart.. As to if its a local server or a FTP server. I have no idea I log in to a website and then go from there as I was directed. I would be thankful for a response an I thank you ahead of time for your help and for making oxide for Reign of Kings. I hope to ensure that a good roleplay community as small as we may be can help this enjoyable game. Besides that I do have other off topic questions but these can be asked at a later date on another thread. We really need to get the few plugins we had back up and working thank you.

  12. When a server update is released then an Oxide update is required but in general plugins do not need to be deleted and usually still work without any issues unless there where major changes to the server's code in the update. At the point where the server update is released it is usually better to wait to update your server until the Oxide update is released for the new server update because using an older Oxide build will result in downgrading some of your server files again which will either cause the server not to run or behave erratically. How you update your server depends on how your server is hosted.

When you host your server on your own machine or a dedicated server with remote access and you have to run all steps manually you would need to run steamcmd to download the updated server files and then download the latest oxide release, basically following the installation steps again.

When you have a gameserver with one of the available GSPs then you usually only have access to a web-based control panel which should have the options to update the server using steamcmd and normally also to install oxide. I can't really provide a lot of info on this part as this varies per GSP, but there should at least be the options that I have mentioned somewhere.

  13. Did the Oxide update like normal now none of the plugins work ? tried Deleting and adding them again. still nothing . any Ideals or help would be awesome

Not much changed, it was a minor update, nothing that would break plugins. Please check your oxide/logs for errors, and upload them.

  15. Mughisi I tried what you said. I turned off the server. Deleted the Steamapp folder. Then ran on the dashboard while its stopped the steam update on the dashboard which put the steamapp folder back. Then started the sever. Then I turned it off again added the oxide updated version into the game following the installation instructions then Started the game. I then stopped the server a final time an added the plugins and they did not work. I then did the process again with the steam thing but before I added oxide stuff I deleted the old save/oxide/plugins folder by deleting the oxide folder in the saves folder and then ran again the installation process of oxide. Then I started the server to add the /save/oxide/plugins folder again and it did not so I stopped the server added the folder in there as it was typed where it should be then started the server. Then after the server came up let it run abit then added the plugins. Then i started the server again and the plugins still dont work. Sorry If my wording is bad of this I hope it helps you understand what I may be doing wrong. Thank you once again for the reply and your time.

If you want SteamCMD after installing Oxide, then it removed the modded file that loads Oxide. Oxide needs to always be installed after, otherwise it won't load and you won't get the folder.

  17. for the dashboard its not removing the oxide data when used. And I'm just an administrator and not the owner. I think we are a server hosted site but I am unsure. I have done the steam thing first then the oxide folders. It may just be im not the owner so I may not be able to do it.

If you are trying to install Oxide via FTP, it's likely you do not have full permission to replace all files. Also make sure the server is shutdown before installing too, otherwise files will not get replaced.

  19. I have made sure the server is fully stopped. It may just be I dont have the full permissions. I thank you for your time and response to this matter. and your help. Sorry if It was just a problem.
