Restoring player bases after a wipe?

Not sure if this is possible, but is there any way to restore all player buildings after a forced wipe? I love this game and I have my own modded oxide server with friends who play on it but the only reason we play is to build a massive city. We all work and can only play at various times throughout the year, so when we come back after 4 months we want all our buildings to be there and not have to start all over again. This is the only problem I have with rust it makes no sense to play it for me unless I can save my buildings indefinitely.

 

I used CopyPaste plugin for the long time players. But only nice if you have low population ^^

 

As the game is still in development they are still making changes to the map and monument layout etc which means even if you used the same seed every time the map would actually change topography and put your previous buildings in different places on the map..until they finish the game it will prob be like this for a while yet sadly.Eventually you would be able to do this.

 

Thanks for the respones, so do they intend to end those wipes at some point in the future?

Facepunch are at this very moment adding support/making it easier for people to create their own maps with an SDK so it wont be long till you get custom maps but they have to finish the game to the point where they add no more map changes.
Copy Paste copypaste plugin lets you copy entire player made buildings and past them onto a new map after wipe - really good plugin but bit laggy when pasting giant buildings onto your map.hope this helps

 

Just like @sativaflash94 said I should use copypaste if I was you.
Play a little bit with the radius like "/Copy World r 1000 s true". Of give your friend permission to copy and paste themself.
Also note the size and seed of your map, if you use the same size and seed you can use: "/pasteback World a true" and everything will be back at the location you copied them.
If you had to wipe the server you have to kill yourself so respawn at your sleeping bag.
