I'll be that guy once again to ask about a simple port issue.
So I've been dealing with networking for about 10 years now and know my way around it. I once, a long time ago was able to get this working but for some reason cannot now.
I have a Pfsense router and have no issues opening ports for other game servers, but when I open the 28015 port it wont go through and I check from the canyouseeme.org website. Any other port that I need open is open and shows open. I have tried to get this to work with about 3-4 other systems from server computers to vmware machines to my personal rig. All running an instance of windows whether its windows 7, windows 10 or windows server 2012 all with firewall disabled. Anytime I look at my network resource in resource manager the port is not showing at all. Even a netstat isnt showing the port is in use after server is running.
When the sever is up I can local connect to it but thats the case with anything running locally. I'm at a loss, I have restarted all routers and switches just to make sure it wasn't a fault in those.
Any suggestions?
Port not opening with Pfsense router

The canyouseeme.org site only checks TCP, not UDP which is what Rust uses for game connections. I'd suggest making sure you have UDP forwarded.

Sorry for another post that might get merged. I used a proxy to get a different IP on my gaming machine and was able to see my server and connect to it. Weird I can't see my own server from the same IP address.
