Player names not changing when changed

We have a very odd bug, and not sure if it's oxide related or a plugin issue but I'll post it here anyway.

I had an issue today with 2 players using offensive names... I like to give people a chance so I asked them to change names in steam and they did. When they returned to the server it logged them in under the new name but in seconds they were coming up in chat as the old offensive name. I checked their steam accounts and they had definitely changed to something non-offensive. I've tried removing various plugins that store names for any reason and nothing helps. Any ideas?

 

Most likely a plugin bug. If you post a list of installed plugins we can atleast guess what it is but you'll only be sure when disabling all plugins and enableing them one by one until the issue occurs again.

 

If your using a plugin that grabs the player.displayname its likely their old names were stored in the data file and is now displayed instead of their steam name due to the plugin activating.
3 Plugins you can rule out:

• The newer versions of Groups
• RanksAndTitles
• VIP/Admin

Plugins that might cause the issue could be Rust:IO Clans, and I'm sure another others but I don't know every plugin off the top of my head that modifies display names.
