Solved Oxide not working after update (not installed)

    I have a new server I setup this morning and after the server/client updates recently none of the mods are working. Anyone else having this issue? Is there something I need to do to make Oxide work again?

    Did you re-install Oxide after the update? It's a mod, so it needs to be installed after each update.

    How do you reinstall it? I run a server through survivalservers.com, but the owner or the providers installed the oxide, I installed the plugins. I don't to delete important files that aren't part of oxide.

    Most control panels you'd simple click uninstall on their mod manager, then install again.

    Having an issue as well today.

    Running a server through Fragnet, and I can't seem to update Oxide using any of the tools they provide, as myself and my server users keep getting "Disconnected: wrong connection protocol" errors when we try to connect to the server.

    Have done everything short of a complete fresh install of the server to try and get this running. Have been running this server for almost 5 months now and never had an issue updating it before the last patch.

    That would mean they are providing an outdated version of Oxide. I'd recommend contacting them for an update.

    I have this same problem,my server was modded with the Oxide and after the update the server changed to common and I tryed to unistall the oxide and Its didnt worked,I looked on Youtube videos that teach you how to downlend Oxide,please help mee !!

    Download the latest zip from the top of the site under Downloads > extract zip > upload and overwrite existing.

    its say me :
    There should be 'RustDedicated_Data'
    folder next to the executable
    its didnt work,its steel community and not changed to moded.

    how I clean all the downlend of the oxide,I want to downlend the new oxide when dont have the old oxide.

    If you have Rust (not Rust Legacy), you'd download the Oxide build from the red Rust logo. Installing it is the same as upgrading. Make sure your start script is NOT updating Rust when you start it each time, as the default Rust server scripts do.

    I have the new rust(red Rust logo) and I did update today because the server disconnect(Wrong Connection Protocol: client update required!)
    then I updated and when its finished I run the server and I saw that the server is community and ago the update he was moded with a lot of plugins.
    why now Its didnt work? please man you can to talk with me in the skype ?

    That message means your client is outdated.
