I know a few other threads have been made with this same issue, but I don't think any that I have viewed have helped. So I apologize for any repeats that there may be.
So I have a server hosted through Blue Fang Solutions. I read somewhere on this forum that I needed to ask BFS support to install Oxide 2 for me. I did so and they installed it without issue. I can start my server without problem. I made myself the owner of the server without issue as well. However, if I try using commands like "Oxide.version" in Rusty, it keeps saying the "Command not found" response. In the F1 console in game, it says "Invalid Command" instead though. From what I have read, that means Oxide 2 is not installed, right? But, Blue Fang is telling me it is installed. I even asked them to re-install it thinking that something might have gone wrong when they installed it the first time. I even cross checked if 'Oxide" to Blue Fang is indeed Oxide 2, just shorthanded to "Oxide".
I'm kind of at my wits end. I'm not even sure if there are logs I can show you to help out. If there is an even simpler command that I can try to test if Oxide 2 is indeed installed, let me know.
Again, I am sorry if this seems like a common problem and I missed the solution somewhere.
EDIT: I wanted to add that I am not trying any commands with plugins just yet either. I am trying to make and add people to groups through the Oxide commands to handle groups so I can give certain groups the ability to use commands from certain plugins. I cannot get past things that requires a basic Oxide command. Either I missed a step somewhere or Oxide isn't working/installed on the server correctly.
Solved Oxide commands not working (not installed)

You do not have Oxide install if 'oxide.version' comes back as "Command not found." Even if the control panel mentioned it is installed, it isn't if you or your host have ever ran any other server update after initially installing it.

Are you able to download your servers log file, this would tell you if oxide was being correctly loaded - thus giving you the option to tell your GSP to reinstall it correctly.

I had a feeling that was the issue. I even mentioned in the support ticket with them that it wasn't installed correctly... I have had 3 separate people at their support tell me it looked like it installed fine. I know the files and stuff are there like the "oxide'" folder, ect... I'm not sure what I can tell them. Most of the logs are blank. I'm not even certain what more to tell support with this problem.

Problem is.... I read somewhere that Oxide needs to be installed by support upon request with blue Fang Solutions specifically... unless it is recommended I try installing it myself... I haven't been updating at all since I began having the problem. There's no button for me to press to auto install Oxide. I've been requesting support do it for me this whole time. Should I try installing it myself and see what happens? I'm just not sure if it'll work the same way as setting up a server on my own machine versus having one hosted.

My guess is that the GSP would only give you FTP access to your instance directory, not to the actual game server files themselves, which will mean you are not able to install Oxide.

So, should I simply tell them to really double check if Oxide, in the way they are installing it, is actually installing it correctly? Because it isn't working in how they are doing it now? I mean, I want to know what to tell them. I'll probably link them to this forum, actually. If a developer of oxide is telling me it is installed incorrectly, then that should be enough to tell them that something is wrong, right?

[DOUBLEPOST=1452119097,1452104884][/DOUBLEPOST]Okay. I just heard back from Blue Fang Solutions. So, they did say it was installed incorrectly. I guess future server owners who aren't terribly informed like me can learn that sometimes Oxide just installs incorrectly. XD Thanks for all the help, guys! -
