Solved Open website on command

    I'd like a plugin that writing a command ej. /web .Browser to the webpage of server will be. It is possible? Thank You.

    I think I did not explain well. I'd like a plugin that writing a command in the chat, chrome opens for example the website of my server. Sorry my english

    Would it be possible for a command to open a webpage?

    Example, if I type /RED in chat, I would want it to open up www.[insert blah blah here].com in a web browser. It would make it easier for people to get signed up on our website since they dont have to memorize a full URL.

    I have looked around, and the only ones I see are for listing URL's in chat.

    There's no way for the Rust server to open a website or a browser, it can only print in the chat.

    isnt it possible to call the SteamOverlay anyhow? So you can open up the steam Browser?

    You can in a way, but it'd only be useful on the server itself, as the server can't access those functions on the clients. Basically if you call it, it will try to open the browser on the server or a client on the server itself, not remote players' clients.

    There is an in-game map that was shown recently, that might be something we can hook into and display more, but I haven't taken a look at it yet.

    You mean instead of showing the map, showing something else, like a picture? As I know there also is a Note, which they are working on.

    Ahhhh that would be cool. I was trying to think if it would be easier to use steams browser or a regular one. But I guess it can't be done.... yet. ;)

    Yeah, until the client has an RPC available for that, it won't really be doable. It's a nice thought though!
