1. I've had extensive experience in hosting over the years. All the way back from BF1942 through to Q3TA. My latest endeavor was a pretty decent MineCraft server for about 6 years. I am now wanting to start a nice community based Rust server and I'm having issues with some of the basics.

    What I've accomplished...

    The server runs (yay)
Most plugins are working but need configuration
I have NO IDEA where to find the initial splash screen text (the screen with 'website' 'connect') etc..
I have what style of server I want to run in place but could use some tips / tricks
I'm 44, not as involved as I used to be, so I just need some general guidance on rust-ese. (740 hours in-game)
Can reward any assistance as necessary within reason (staff position, starting goodies, etc..)

Please let me know if you can help and, please, be mature, knowledgeable, and have plenty of time :)

  2. Running on home pc or renting from a hosting company
Most plugins so how many need config changes
splash screen? Do you mean hosting cpanel
44 is not old am older myself
If you have skype can help

  3. Home Server - i7 6700K 4Ghz 24Ghz ram on 25Mb Up service for now.

Kits and BetterLoot mainly but just some general tips on what to avoid with BetterLoot, nTeleport, or if there are better alternatives.
My list of plugins is as follows so far
    AutoGrades
    BetterLoot
    CraftingController
    GatherManager
    InfoPanel
    Kits
    NTeleportation
    RainOfFire
    RemoverTool
    StackSizeController

Splash screen as in when you open your client and click on a server. before you click connect it shows the name of the server and below it a bunch of info.
Right now it looks like... Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

    Fair enough, Old-ish :)
I use Discord, not skype, sorry.

  4. I would remove rain of fire and as to not using skype for me to help I need to see your desktop discord does not have that option so if you want help fixing it all then it needs to be skype

  5. Ill tinker around some more with it tonight. Gettin' late for me so I'll pick it up tomorrow. If you're around and I'm still flustered, I'll install skype and we can go from there, if that's cool. Thank you.

  6. Discord does have that option now in a private call. :)

  7. It also needs the option to send files and skype has everything thats needed
