Each time I launch my private dedicated server, Norton Security blocks maybe a dozen files and of course I get the "ReflectionTypeLoadException: The classes in the module cannot be loaded" error. My workaround has just been to temporarily disable Norton, extract the Oxide files, and launch the server, but I'd rather avoid doing that every time and putting my PC at risk. Norton has settings to exclude certain files from scans and whatnot but it hasn't worked. This ONLY happens when I START the server.
Here are the names of the files it removes:
csharpcompiler.exe
IronPython.dll
Microsoft.Dynamic.dll
Microsoft.Scripting.dll
Microsoft.Scripting.Core.dll
lua52.dll
lua52_jit.dll
lua52_jit.dll (it comes up in Norton twice)
Jint.dll
NLua.dll
I'm just hoping someone else has had this problem and resolved it. I'm more of a Kaspersky guy myself but my dad pays for the Antivirus license, not me. Anyways, thanks for the help if you give it.
Solved Norton Security deleting dedicated server files

You'd need to add exclusions to your "security" software. They are not malicious files. There's no other way around it other than disabling Norton.

Oh, I just figured it out. I feel like I wasted a post but maybe somewhere out there someone else is having the same issue. Under Norton's settings, go to Antivirus, click on the Scans and Risks tab, click Configure next to the option "Items to exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR, and Download Intelligence Detection". Add the problem files or, just to make it easier, add the whole server folder (assuming you have all your server files in a folder by themselves). That's what worked for me. I previously did the same process on the WRONG option, "Items to exclude from scans." It might be a good idea to add them to that too, though.
