Solved Navmesh?

Discussion in 'Rust Discussion' started by XDefaultX, Jun 10, 2018.

  1. I've been trying to keep my server from crashing almost all day.
Initially, I thought it was an issue with Rust:IO, as it always crashed after it loaded Rust:IO.
But once I removed the "+nav.disable false" and made it true, it actually started.
The weird thing is, everything was working perfectly fine before I attempted to switch maps.
Does anyone know a fix for this?
Animals do not move currently, and my server is heavy in the PvE portion of it.
I will be very grateful for any help that can be offered.

  2. put nav_wait 0 in your server.cfg file will make nav build after server has started

  3. I am trying this out now, thank you.

The server started, then restarted itself afterwards.
    Continuously restarting now.

  4. Are you running this on your pc

  5. I am not, I am running it off of GameServers.
I might move this to a dedicated server if I can talk to someone I know.

  6. I was just going to ask if this was GameServers :) :)

Please move your server away from there. Anything else is better. Anything.

  7. I have no funding, it was a server given to me by one of the people I know.
[DOUBLEPOST=1528598786][/DOUBLEPOST]Keeping the navmesh disabled allows the server to run.
But enabling it causes forever restarting, but I need it enabled to actually have my server at full.
    This is so annoying lmao

  8. Thank them very much for it, but Gameservers will only work with max 30 players, just a few mods and without navmesh.

They automatically kill the Rust server instance when the usage of it goes over 10 GB RAM, but this is almost never the case.

  9. It was working earlier, before I tried to change the map.
And I've never had any problems with GS in the past.
    Never this problem, anyways.

  10. You were very lucky and most certainly already on the edge. Did you use a bigger map?

Rusts performance is buggy the last months, so it adds up to it, but Gameservers is a no go for medium/bigger servers.

GTXGaming is better, but their support used to talk to you like you are stupid (little bit like the 1st line support of your ISP). Then there's Survivalservers but I believe they don't host your server with a loop script, so crash or restart = manual boot in the control panel.

    Some others:
Game Servers - Game Server Hosting | Multiplay Gameservers
Fragnet - RUST Server Provider - Buy or Rent RUST Servers and Hosting - FragNet | Built for Gamers.

But yeah, if you want full control, you gotta have a dedicated server. You can use one of the better SoYouStart servers, install Proxmox and create several smaller virtual servers. Works flawlessly for years now.

  11. I had initially made it a bigger map, but now I have settled on the default 3k map it assigns you.

  12. The smaller map will help when using that host but yes change hosts is the best thing to do

  13. I'll speak to someone I know about possibly using their dedicated server.
    Thanks for the support guys!
