1. Hi guys,

I'm wondering if my server is suffering a memory leak.

The ram for server (hosting from Nitrous Networks) keeps rising to 7GB then shutting down the server after about 6-7 hours.

Would this be plugin related or ?

It's a brand new modded server, have about 20 players static so far..

Below is my servers memory usage during 1 day.

  2. +1 this, on our 64gb ram dedicated with 125 players on it will fill all ram before 24 hours, we need 2 restarts daily

Easiest way is to remove plugins and test.

  4. I'll be spending the day doing this today, it seems one plugin is causing massive memory leaks. (I have a gut feeling its going to be ZoneManager even though its my favourite grrr)

I will keep you updated with my findings so the developer can fix it.

  5. Okay so it may not be Zone Manager but either Rust itself for another plugin causing the memory leak.

My servers using 1GB an hour...

  6. Are you guys using Rusti IO map? If you are then remove it because that map leaks memory like hell!

I have about 100 players on my server mos of the time and right now the server has been on for about 46 hours without a restart and it's using 7 GB of ram.

  7. So you think it could be LustyMap causing the issue?
[DOUBLEPOST=1471506290][/DOUBLEPOST]I've unloaded LustyMap for the time being so I can compare the memory usage graph to yesterdays.

We leak for about 4-5 hours then the server crashes and restarts. So I have to perform 4-5 restarts a day..
My server is brand new so it's low pop 8gb at the moment until I figure this leak out.

  8. No, it's not lusty map... I said Rust IO map - Rust:IO | Oxide <- this is one is to blame for the leaks.

  9. You have any proof to back that up?

Just wondering before I remove it myself.

  10. RustIO has known memory leaks, specifically with the friends option turned on

  11. out of interest, OP are you using HeliControl? That was cause of our massive leak. That being said, our server does use 7-8gb ram by the end of the day and stays there.

  12. same issue, no heli control or zones.

  13. Its LustyMap for sure it does this for very long time unload it and restart your server and try running server without it also this may cause issues Radar Manager for Rust | Oxide but I dont use it long time maybe it changed. And maybe if you post here your plugins you would get better answers..

  14. Yeah. Just removed lustymap and it seems to have settled down... why now though? Lustymap has been fine and it's a great plugin.

Also, my plugins are posted at the top in a link

Wolf, are you able to see why this is an issue? Or is this beyond oxide? My question is before this last update, Lustmap has been working fine for months. And Lustymap hasn't had an update.

  15. People have complained in the past of a memory leak when using "rust io" with the friends feature. perhaps that is why LustyMap is kicking up a storm for you.

Off the top of my head, I believe LustyMap is unsupported now.

  16. Lustymap is sooo good though :/

  17. LustyMap is unmaintained now, but somebody will likely tke it over, or the community will keep it updated.

LustyMap will memory leak if you are using the RustIO friends option. I am using Friends API for Rust | Oxide and do not seem to have an issue

  18. Yep. Just updated turning this "RustIOFriends": false fixes it. I'd be curious to know why this is.
