Apologies if i am posting in the wrong section here. I recently built a new gaming pc so im making my old pc into a dedicated server for teamspeak and Rust Experimental. We also plan on upgrading to gigabit internet by end of january. I was just curious giving the specs how many players my dedicated server could hold?
I have
Motherboard - Gigabyte 78LMT USB3
CPU - Phenom 2 X6 1055T Oc'd @ 4.1Ghz all 6 cores
Maxed out on 32GB DDR3 Ram @ 1600mhz
EVGA 750watt psu
soon to be 1 gigabit internet
from what i have so far, i have had 15 players in the server before and cpu shows 0 strain. server runs at 2-5% once loaded, Any ideas how much this system can handle? thanks
Solved Max players for these specs?

Well you can handle Quite a lot.of.players the things what is making it harder is how much building are built within the map.
And I would recommend getting a real dedicated Server if you consider making a serious thing out of the Rust Server Idea. Lets say you have 30 active players the performance increase comes from all.deployables and thing built within.the map.that is why adding the Plugins Auto Purge (@Norn rep to him) aswell AS the TwigsDecay Plugin to remove old.buildings from inactive players -

@Heatst0rm
i have a dedicated server. i had 150 players and my server run only 3 days. i had 3x gather. i looked my console and saw i had 120k entity. After restarting all my save data wiped. i tried to import backup but it didnt help too. why does thing happen ? -
You are sure that your save data does not exist anymore maybe just another map got created.
@Wulf Do you know what would happen if a map save gets some how corrupted ? Is there maybe a auto New map Generation ? -

There is no real limit I think but if you reach a top high entity amount it will lag no matter of the Server Rust itself Cannot handle it
