Making other players admin?

I have recently bought an experimental server and a friend of mine was helping with the plugins and stuff and I need to some how become owner on my own server but I don't know how please help!

did you connect your server already with a rcon - tool like rusty ? You have to execute the following command in there:

ownerid yoursteam64id admin

or place that users.cfg in "server\my_server_identity\cfg\users.cfg" put in there your steam64 id, and then boot your server and you should have admin permissions.

You'll find your steam64 id for example by logging into steam via your webbrowser and then going to "Profile". It's the number starting with 7 in your http - address line.

 

Where is the users.cfg file located?

 

well, what folders do you see in the directory "server" ? If that .cfg isn't there by now, you have to create it yourself, the server will read when it starts.

 

I'm new to all this and i'm having a lot of trouble with it because when I do that ownerid yoursteam64id admin it says

Added owner unnammed, steamid 76561198104050106 but then i can't activate anything in game for example godmode and fly none of these work after i have done this and ive had my server down because i need to try and fix all the plug ins as well.

 

did you relogg before typing any command ?

Did you install a mod like oxide, and a plugin like "give" ? When you have a give - plugin enabled you have to execute the commands for giving items in the game chat.
