Screenshot I'm using better chat and Magic Chat plugin . They dont work together? I just tested and gave me that warning ss above.

 

Why on earth would you use them together? They're two different systems

 

Better chat would be only for make chat better with tags and groups. Magic chat would be nice to clean the global chat because when you have 50 players active most of them type in chat to talk with nearby friends. Would be nice to have a near chat like 10-20 radius so only pple around that area would see "local chat" and if they want to talk in global they would use @ as in your plugin. Would be very nice to support players dont have mic and only type in chat.

 

There are two admins on our server and we have the exact same permissions. I can use the /chat tag command and the /chat color command but for some reason the other admin can't.
I know it says to change the values of DefaultCanColor and DefaultCanTag but after changing them and reloading the plugin, it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Any help please?

You can just edit the data file, most likely it was set to false before you done that!

[DOUBLEPOST=1451836908][/DOUBLEPOST]I just tried changing the data file but every time I save it and reload the plugin, uColorEnabled sets itself back to false. Does it require a server restart in order for it to change?
When I change anything in other plugins, a /reload <PluginName> works just fine.

That's because you cleared the database? You have to unload the plugin before you edit anything in the data file. Reloading works fine, if you're only editing the configuration.

When I get a minute I'll add commands to control permissions, I'm currently backing up after a reformat though

 

Sorry for all the noob questions. I've never played around with data files before, only config files. I didn't even know there were commands to load and unload plugins - but thanks for teaching me something new!

How to remove Local before nick?

 

Simple. Navigate to oxide\config and open MagicChat.json in a text editing program (Windows' Notepad for example).
Scroll down and look for where it says:

EDIT: I got it wrong. That literally just disabled local chat. I think the best you can do is remove "Local" from inside the quotation marks next to ChatPrefex underneath Local.

 

Is there a way i can disable local chat, and keep only Public chat?

is there not a way to make only my admins have green names in chat and everyone else blue i dont seem to see a group option?

i dont wanna give my admins owner id or moderator id i gave them auth 0 like a reg player and individually added the commands for vanish, god etc disallowing them from using the f1 console is there not a way to seperate your admins in chat using magic chat from players?
