Log live events server console

Is there a way to log real time events happening on the server in your linux terminal? I know there is basic output with the in game term, but I'd really like to be able to see what's happening all the time.

 

When players join, kill other players or creeps, interact with vehicles, receive items, and general stuff like that. But really what I'm concerned about is whether you can even display what is logged by default in the hosting terminal rather than the in game terminal.
