I've managed to ban myself...

Now, everyone's going to laugh and call me a moron, fair enough. But I'm not laughing anymore.

I went onto my server yesterday on an alt account to do some testing from a players point of view. One of the moderators was on and so I decided to have a bit of fun with him. After a while I got banned. That was the bit I laughed at. Then this morning, I've gone to get on the server on my main account, but I'm banned on that too. Obviously it's an IP ban, so I unbanned my alt account, and now it's banning both accounts for ban evasion. Anyone know of a way I can undo this, I've removed the alt account from the bans.cgf and restarted the server. No joy with that.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Delete the post if you want, I'll leave it here though. Maybe it'll cheer someone up when they mess up.

 

This reminds me of a time when one owner back in a Legacy server got banned from his own server after downloading some hacks to "test them out" and see what people were using back then. Poor guy had to sell his server after that...

 

you are not saying how you got the Ban though
What exactly was u doing to get it in the first place as u never got the ban just because u was on an ALT account.

 

I was trolling the moderators and being toxic. It was just a bit of fun. It was only a server ban, I've managed to undo it now and it's all good.

 

What are you doing with a server if this is something you didn't figure out yet ?

He is saying you took too long to work out how to remove the ban

 

Oh, I know how to remove a ban, but when it banned my main account, my name didn't come up on the ban list to revoke it.
