How to set ip on Rust Server

Hi my server did very well this weekend over 130 plus players at high time. So we got ddos pretty hard over 2gbps attacks. So i now ordered a 30gbps protected ip but they are telling me to just bind the applications. I tried to do it from the startup batch file and no go.
