How to promote a server

Hey guys.

How do you promote a server called GAME OF THRONES?

I've been working very Hard on my server and hand picked the best and most needed plugins to have on a modded server to make it good and funny and even bought some plugins to make it unique. BUT how do you promote a server? I tried to register it on some websites and even made an Youtube video (my very first video) but still no players got maximum 5 players online and The rest of them (30) are just sleeping like they never slept before is there some effective ways to promote a server to get players? /Batman

 

Get as many friends and yourself on at all times as much as possible. Even having 8-12 players online at some point is great progress. Sooner or later, the more it continues out this way, the more likely you are to further increase your player base as long as players enjoy the quality and services of your server.

 

Thx for your answer. Im trying to do so as much as I can when im at home. Highest pop was 8 players including me once. But absolutly thats one way to do and I always try to give good service

 

I remember the times when I was excited about having 12 for one day, and then 24 a week later. One year later, I ended up having a couple thousand players join every week with an avg pop of 100+ which later on rose to its max of 250 for a solid couple months until college started and I made the decision (including after the effects of server crashing which lowered the pop) to end the server.

 

Wow!! I would like to have that one day haha. Thats too bad that you ended up the server and that server crash tho :/
