Having problem with getting server up

Hello! I have run into a bit of a stumble, and that stumble is my file isn't being picked up or something of that. I have made countless .bat files and nothing seems to work even if I delete everything in the folder but RustDedicated_data, Steamapps, and Bundles. I am new to making a server and this has been a hassle for the past week.

My system Specs: Athlon x4 820 2c 4t processor, 8gb ram, 500gb 7200rpm HDD, R9 270x

A few of the bat file examples I have tried

^^^^^^This one had an error saying missing file, as well RustDedicated wouldn't launch with the .bat^^^^^^

^^^^^^^This one opened RustDedicated but I couldn't connect, even if I put the proper IP etc^^^^^^

^^^^^^I made another one and ran into the same problem as the first one^^^^^^

I asked my friend and he says he thinks steamcmd is bugged and he had downloaded it after the last update and ran into the same problem... But tbh I opened up the RustDedicated and it made a server with the name of Myunitledrustserver and that one worked, as I connected to it with 23 ping etc, that could have been someone else's server or that could have been mine IDK. If you are wondering I have tried client.connect "yourip:28015", client.connect localhost and with putting in both it brings me to Amsterdam 2... If anyone could help that would be amazing!

You have many things missing from the bat file and you have things in there not needed as they are no longer used like query_port to name one here is a file of mine I just edited the rcon password use notepad++ when editing the file if not installed google it and install the program. Your ram is a bit on the low side even if just using the PC for the server only and if you try to run the client from same PC you will have big problems

 

Lemme try this out, if it doesn't work then I'll get back to you either way.

Okay so I am still running into the same problems like the other ones as it isn't launching the RustDedicated, I am also getting this error

 

How do I get the RustDedicated to run with the file or does the RustDedicated not need to be opened in any way in order for the server to work?

 

What I mean is the middle .bat script I made on the top of this page, actually opened the RustDedicated.exe and showed day an night cycle.

 

What you have in your first post has many things wrong with it I would not use if you dont want any problems use the one i made you

 

Okay, I am using the one you made me but now I am getting this... Also, it had just stopped at Bradley spawn, and hasn't moved

 

you must have another bat file already running and you can edit the bat file if you want and change the ports or use this one

 

Still not able to connect? So the file errors have been resolved but now I can't connect... I even did client.connect localhost and did client.connect "yourip:0.0.0.0". What am I doing wrong?
