1. Hey guys

Please need help does anyone know how to fix this issue

I have installed a copy of the Rust server onto my Home PC as well as the server and i am getting this error.

this is effecting ALL addons that require to write to the config folder and i know it is not something that has changed on the server because it hasnt changed in 2 years and was working prior to this update

Please does any one have ANY idea that will help

Failed to load config file (is the config file corrupt?) (Only access to oxide directory!)

You'd need to report it to the plugin author where it's coming from. A full log would be helpful as well.

  3. But this is effecting EVERY plugin ive been speaking to Renab and he cant see the issue

Im trying to put my hand pout for help incase some one else has had this issue .. i saw yesterday others having the same issue but no ever escalated it im just asking to get a community answer please

Sounds like it's only with C# plugins, as all the Lua plugins I have are working just fine. I'll see if someone can look into it.

  5. i just added spawner.Lua into the plugins folder and got the exact same error . So it may not be C++

and i Really appreciate the help

as stupid as it sounds ive gone to the extent of putting a config folder in every directory just incase it was trying to write somewhere else .

this happens on my PC and the server.

I have no issues with any plugins, so all I can think is you are using an outdated Oxide build. What version does it show when using the version command?

  7. OMG i think i found the error

The Whole File structure some how has changed

I just reinstalled the whole lot again and this is the files to get to config

C:\steamapps\common\rust_dedicated\server\my_server_identity\oxide\config (on the New install to my PC and this worked no errors)

C:\rust_dedicated\server\save\rust\oxide\config ( when i install to my Server - and it doesnt work)

So after heaps of testing i found the issue it was in the File structure ............

Wulf thanx for the help and clues to getting this resolved

The second config you listed looks like Legacy, so I have no idea why you had that structure.
