EAC disconnected when joining server

just curious if anyone else is having this problem with their server, its almost exclusively a problem with osx. Alot of my players that are on mac get instantly disconnected by eac.

 

so i been getting eac disconnected, i heard it was because of my anti virus so i tried to exclude every file to do with eac i also tried running rust as administrator.. but still not working

 

server has always had this problem, but didn't run into it enough times to consider it a consistent issue - every once in a while for some reason all the players on the server are basically timed out and kicked. Only thing i see in the logs is [EAC] Kicking [Steamid] (account owner) [Disconnect]. i do have secure.server set to true, but the pc its on does not have rust installed or EAC installed - i am installing it now, but would that be the source of the issues or is there something else i need to add into the server files to make sure it doesn't just randomly boot people off because EAC wants to?

What is the problem?
It is said that this is only on my server. I can not understand what has caused.

getting this error aswell, just kicked 30 people out cause of it

 

My server as well. But when this happens. We get a huge number of connections. well over 200 000 and about 200mbps of bandwidth sent to our server.

 

so the solution that i found for this issue is to install Rust with EAC or EasyAntiCheat on the server your running and it fixes all issues - i also leave steam running in the background just in case it needs to authenticate that steam indeed is running and that the instance(server) is not running illegally(pirated game). Haven't had a single disconnect since.

in my case i want to play and test my server the same time i am running it - so i made another steam account so i could have one copy on the server and another running on my gaming rig - running testing on the server rig and play legit like a player myself on my gaming rig at the same time

 

This topic is still relevant. Server punished my players even if they are clean. It helps only the EAC completely off... But... Someone found ways how to fix this problem?

And you are certeinly not alone. i am having alot of issues both personaly, friends and people who are players on my servers.

The only "fix" is to disable anticheat and thats not really a option.

 

Well, yes, can turn off the EAC, but it's a risk...

yup.... i haven't been able to even play rust since January and its so annoying because thats my money just gone damn facepunch and steam supports sucks ass and take a week to reply an "OK" tag me in steam once you find a solution my steam account is danny_zap

 

Try restarting the server or do ctr+alt+delete and force stop rust and steam and restart steam, in worst scenario re-install rust

It does not help. I think the problem in EAC, and no servers or players can not do anything with it.

 

I know on my gaming pc I need to start rust from my AMD Gaming Evolved app if I try doing it from steam I get the same problem
