Dedicated server requirements for 100 players?

Intel® i7-2600 4 x 3.4 GHz HT
8 GB ECC DDR3
1 x 2 TB SATA3

With this server how much player can play? Can anyone please recommend me server with 100 online player?

PS : I'll not use any plugin

 

I'd go with 16 GB ram, maybe a Xeon.
You don't need 2 TB of storage,

Go with the OVH gaming server w/ 16 GB of ram.

 

This is a good one for running rust server. I think a i7 4790k or i76700 is the best choice. Rust server like single core power and the most Xeon cpus have low ghz and this is not that good. We have the same server from ovh and running 3 rust server on it and have like 500-1000 fps on the servers with 300-400 player. I can recommend this server maybe a bit overkill for one server with 100slots

 

I assumed he meant 100 players on, not 100 slots.

I find the SSD drive is enough after all it is faster

 

Thank you for your responds I think I'll choose OVH. But I've one last question what about the ping? I live in Turkey and most of my players will be connecting from Turkey. If I buy from OVH will ping be a problem?

I actually run a +150 server with 6GB Ram, and 2 cores.

 

does the player count ever actually reach 150? and how many plugins roughly do you have?

 

I have 110-150 players online everytime. And I have 25 plugins.

 

That's pretty impressive, doesn't rust sever take up like 2 gigs right out the gate? Amazing you haven't maxed your memory with that many players.

 

I am going to upgrade the server, but in my country dedicated are expensive, I mean really expensive. I also have 24/7 staff removing old constructions to keep entities low. And some other stuffs.
