1. Is there a DDOS protection for my Rust server?? i am getting DDOS when i reach more than 50+ players...
    My Host is Gameservers.com

  2. I do not believe gameservers.com provides DDos protection, or even if they do, it won't protect you much. My prior experience with NFOservers.com has been pretty good and they've handled most DDos attacks pretty well. There was even a point when they spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars to protect a customer who was being specifically targeted by a an individual or a group of DDosers because they refused their threat to remove him as a customer. The attack was so large it took down the whole Dallas server which my own server was hosted on, but they had it back up and running shortly soon after with full protection.

  3. i dont want an advert. i just need info on ddos protection.

  4. I am not here to advertise; neither am I paid to advertise on behalf of NFO. I'm simply here providing a suggestion with an interesting story. I do not think that there are any providers out there that simply provides DDos protection for servers that aren't even hosted on theirs, but I know it will be costly for a fact if they do. Good luck.

  5. I can second that NFO has absolutely great service, wonderful machines, and their DDoS protection is great as well. In reply to Flaschen: Ankawi isn't advertising...I feel like he just wanted you to know how great NFO really is as an overall host.

  6. Stay away from gameservers they are crap

  7. Yea NFO Is amazing

  8. NFO are very expensive for what they offer, maybe think about the dedicated server routes and go with OVH "game" server ranges

  9. OVH from what I have heard have unbeatable DDos protection, cheap machines, but a lack of support for small entities. Not sure however, but I know the best way to utilize NFO and the cheapest way is to obtain the lowest VPS (virtual system) and upgrade as your player population goes up. Moving over to a full machine that costs around $150-300 is probably best when your player count begins reaching that amount daily.

  10. Most definitely, but you likely won't even be a thread to ddos'ers until you reach that point anyway. IMO, start out dedicated with an unmanaged service (ovh, reliablesite etc), providing you know a fair amount of information on server hosting, if not go with a shitty cheap shared host to see if it's your style. Or even exploit them for information with their support LOL
