Oxide - DDoS attack

Well I banned 2 guys that were superjumping/flying/speedhacking and then 2-3 minutes later my server goes down and my host OVH informs me they have detected an attack on my IP. What can I do about it? I was under the impression OVH had DDoS protection but it hasn't seemed to have prevented the attack from taking down my server. Does anyone know how OVH's protection works?

We have just detected an attack on IP address 111.11.111.111.

In order to protect your infrastructure, we vacuumed up your traffic onto our mitigation infrastructure.

The entire attack will thus be filtered by our infrastructure, and only legitimate traffic will reach your servers.

At the end of the attack, your infrastructure will be immediately withdrawn from the mitigation.
