Hi. I've been scratching my head at how I should convert window scripts to Mac. I figured out how to install SteamCMD. Followed the instructions from a YT video and created my .bat file with this script below. I realize .exe is for windows and not mac.
RustDedicated.exe -batchmode +server.hostname "My Rust Server" +server.identity MyRustServer +server.maxplayers 50 +server.port 28015 +rcon.port 28016 +rcon.password 0123456
I started Rust and typed in client.connect local host:28015 in the console. It looked like it was starting Amsterdam II server but then said "Disconnected: Connection Attempt Failed" and the console said "Disconnected (Connection Attempt Failed) - returning to main menu [REVZ] enabled reverse depth: Main Camera"
Now, I'm just stuck. I would be really thankful if anybody could help me start up a server on mac. I'm not good with scripts and need detailed instructions. Please help.
Creating a server on a Mac?

I don't think you can start Rust server on a Mac, it is only built for Windows and Linux, converting the scripts won't magically make it work.
The "Amsterdam" message has nothing to do with your server. -
You can start a Rust server on Mac. I have mac and I have a Modded Server : )
