Hurtworld Craftable detonator caps

  1. Is there any way that someone can make a script that will take a certain amount of resources from a players inventory, and then give them a Detonator cap.

    This would artificially make the Detonator cap craft-able until the devs make it so in-game.

    I have many players on my server that aren't even wasting their time with raiding and are just killing everyone on sight because they have nothing better to do.

    But if there was a script to take 25 amber and 200 iron from a players inventory and then give them a detonator cap, that would be perfect.
    Of course these costs would be customize-able and the server administrator should be able to customize the values and resources that the detonator caps take to craft.

    If the player does not have the materials it should warn them that they do not have the materials to craft the item as well.

  4. This could actually be a completely customize-able plugin now that I think about it. It would give the player crafting the item the item and take away a certain number of resources that the server administrator deems necessary.

    Items given could be identified by their item codes, and resource cost could be identified by their item codes as well.

    So you could expand this mod to make tires, engines, and gearboxes craft-able as well.
     
  5. It would be nice... Ahhh, I used to run a Lineage2 server and it was so easy to add new craftable items using just .xml files. And it would be nice to create or to add some craftable stuff to existing one. But don't know whether it is easy to do.
     
  6. I don't know if it's possible to create new recipes to add to the list, but creating a /command that does this would be extremely easy to do. Something like /craft cap /craft wheel /craft engine, etc.
     
  7. Those are my exact thoughts Deicide. If it can be done through the chat, and typing /craft will show a list of craft-able items and their cost?

    And as long as it informs the person when they try to craft something that they do not have the resources to craft the item, and when they craft the item it removes the correct number of resources from their inventory, I think that would be ideal.
     
  8. That would be wonderful if you do this, a kind of configurable crafting list. Or at least just detonator cap.
     
  9. Lets not get ahead of ourselves, I won't make it, I'm just saying its doable and not very complex. Taking a break from coding right now.

    this function is desired, as do the game becomes nothing, after opening the server after 5 days
     
  11. Lootconfig allows you to boost the drop rate. Thats how I fixed it on my server.

  13. in the config file for this. the detonator cap is at the bottom somewhere saying drop rate of : "0.03" That spawns in a lootbox/crate that spawns at a rate of "1" forgot all the names you just need to change that to something which will drop it more frequently. hope this helps
     
  14. I set mine to 0.3 but I also lowered the drop rate of arrows, coal and other crap. Result is pretty good, we're getting more car parts, wheels, caps, etc. Works pretty well! I find more caps than the ambers I need to make C4 so it's pretty descent. The 50 ambers req is kinda insane too I might boost the drop rate on those a bit as well.
