Connection issues of my friend

    Hello,

    I made a server today on rust, all is going nice for me. I can connect and play. I asked my friend to join in but he can't join (ConnectionFailed). I've checked everything 3 times but nothing has worked. He can't even connect by console (net.connect), the same error occures. Hopefully you can help me.

    It sounds like you don't have your server's port forwarded. Are you hosting your server locally on your own computer?

    I've done my server's port forwarded. And I'm on my own computer.

    It's likely that the port isn't actually open somehow, but I'm not sure what your setup is. If you are hosting locally, you could possibly check using a port checking site.

    My port is closed, but my provider says it's active :/. Do you know what i can do for really activating it?

    Im having a similar problem, nobody can join my server either. i have searched all over the internet to figure out what im doing wrong. i have the ports 28015 and 28016 open on my routers page and have added 3 rules to inbound and outbound firewalls each. so they should be open but when i check them online they are closed... any help would be greatly appreciated.
