Hey Guys
Yesterday i was setting up a rust server a went on for a little test ride on it, when i was trying to connect to the server i got the EAC or Connection Attempt Failed ?
I got the EAC fixed, so i tried join the server an it worked now today i went on it but it keeps giving me the Connection attempt failed. I went in my command line an it gave me this line:
[05/06/2016 04:37:41] [Oxide] 04:37 [Info] Rust:IO> External IP address obtained from lookup: 199.60.101.82
i dont know if i should get that or not
I hope someone can help![]()

The Rust:IO message is just telling you that it looked up your actual public IP for use with it, it' normal.
What are you setting your +server.ip to? -
Okay.

1 its was one of the plugins there was to old.
2 that my server needed a steam update
so i shutdown the server did the steam update an i turned it on, i could then join but my plugins did nnot load so i uninstalled oxide an installed then resrated my server. but now have the same problem that i cant connect so it could be the plugins ? -

Hey man
It's fixed i found out that if i do clint connect it wont work
but if i connect while a friend is in the server i can join XD -
I am running two servers on the same computer. The second one shows its running, but wont let me connect and doesn't show up on the server list in Rust. RCon shows its running as well. I copied the .bat file and changed the IP address to the second server. I click the .bat file to start the server. Won't show up in RUSTio either. Know off hand when I need to change?

All I would need to do is copy the .bat file and change the name of the server, ports I want it to use, and I can place it in the same folder as the other .bat file correct?
Edit:
I compared the two .bat files and noticed there was not a space between the url and the echo at the end like in the other .bat file. I put a space and hopefully that is the problem.
Either way, I will continue to play with it. Thank you for your time.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 6, 2017
