Solved Changing server decay?

Discussion in 'Rust Discussion' started by The_Fru, Sep 9, 2016.

  1. Well, i hate to be that guy who asks the question 1000 other people have already, but after a bunch of searching and trying a few different things i cant seem to figure it out. I have a server from GameServers.com and was able to turn stability off no problem by entering a line directly into the server config on their site. However the line +server.decay 0 doesnt seem to turn decay off, foundations and high stone walls still decay, everything else is ok as far as i can tell (is their a tier system to decay?). I also tried entering the server.decay 0 command into rcon then doing the server.writecfg after. However i still have decay. Its taken a lot of time for me to even figure out some of the basic commands and one simple plugin since im super new to this and a bit computer challenged lol. Any help/clarification would be awesome!
    Thanks!

  2. Try these plugins:
    NoDecay
TwigsDecay (use the one posted by @Resistance - search the support thread of TwigsDecay)

Both are really easy to set-up ---->JUST READ OVERVIEW/SUPPORT THREAD!!!

    ;)

There is no server.decay command in Rust, that was likely Rust Legacy only. There are decay.tick and decay.scale commands though. The server.writecfg command isn't used for anything other than saving users too.

  4. decay.scale 0.5 = 50% decay rate
    1.0 is normal
    0 is off

  5. Ahhhh, i guess the post i found with someone using the server.decay 0 command was likely much older then i thought. Im going to give the decay.scale command a try and if not ill try the plugin.
    Thanks for the help!

  6. What does the tick and sccale do?

Tick = rate, scale = amount I'd assume.

  8. is there a Command for the Decay of deployables?
want to let them Decay faster when they are outside of Cupboard Range.
