1. I'm signed in as an "owner" through RCON, but for some reason when I go the item list and try and give myself an item on the in-game console, it won't let me... Any known issue or anything I'm missing?

Keep in mind that "owner" and RCON are unrelated. RCON is the remote protocol used with tools such as Rusty and has no auth level, whereas the in-game F1 console would require owner or moderator permission (auth level 2 or 1) to use most Rust commands.

With that in mind, I have tested all inventory commands and they are all working properly.

  3. Not exactly sure why but I closed Rust and joined back into my server and it's working now. Thank you for the help, I didn't know that.

  4. If you are online at the time you set yourself as owner (with ownerid) or moderator (with moderatorid) you will still be logged in as a player because the server only checks this when a player connects, so a reconnect will load up the correct permission ;)

  5. Oh ok, awesome. Thanks a ton man!

  6. I have a similar issue. I have given myself "ownerid 76561198107577785 Astr0cr33p" through the console and logged out of the server and back in. The console shows that I have level 2 as does the users.cfg file. If I press F1 and navigate to the items page and click to arm or add any items to my inventory, I get a message that I am missing the necessary permissions to do that. I've read a bunch of the posts here and still no luck. Any ideas?

You are using a plugin that overrides the commands, such as RemoveAAA or Admin Spawn. You'd need to see the plugin's Overview for the permissions.

  8. Oh, yes I see. One of the other server admins added removeAAA plugin and didn't tell me. I see it there now. Thank you. You are very helpful.

  9. if i manually type inventory.giveto karbon "item" "amount" it works, but i cant click the item list under f1, nothing happens. it was like this before and after i installed Oxide, and i did do it correctly 100% ownerid 76561197961018246 karbon. any ideas on how to fix?

If you installed a plugin like Admin Spawn or RemoveAAA, they override the give commands. You'd need to check their download page for information on granting the right permissions, else remove the plugins.
