  1. Ryan submitted a new resource:

BetterChatFlood - Puts a cooldown on peoples messages preventing them flooding the chat.

    Read more about this resource...

  2. That's strange, I'll hop on a test server now to try to reproduce that.

  3. Ryan updated BetterChatFlood with a new update entry:

    1.0.1

  4. not sure if the last update was suppose to fix the issue but even after spamming the players words are still announced, but the message does appear that i have saying "please try not to spam chat" for them.

  5. Seems to work for me, not sure what the issue is here. Gyazo - 534d77f5ccb3365cb525146736dbc313.png

Does it happen all the time, or only sometimes? If sometimes, what do you do differently to the times where it works?

What version of BetterChat are you on actually?

In fact, are you even using BetterChat or a custom chat plugin?

  6. Latest version of BetterChat
    5.0.11

  7. Have you given the bypass permission to anyone? Just found a potential issue in the permission check
[DOUBLEPOST=1495413307][/DOUBLEPOST]Nevermind, seems to be fine... Hmm

  8. Not sure if this may helps but here's all my plugins from what i believe that tie into the chat.

    BetterChat
    UFilter
    BetterChatFlood
    PrivateMesssages
    BetterChatMute

  9. That's a huge help and I've found the issue already :p

    It's UFilter it seems. :(

No way to fix it as far as I know, that's until Oxide change the way they deal with Chat Messages. Which I know they've discussed previously before. I guess you'll just have to decide which plugin to use out of this and UFilter.

I will continue to look for a way to prevent this though.

  10. eh, it still at least tells people to try and not spam. So it probably scares them to stop or they'll get muted/kicked/banned. Even though it doesn't hide their messages

All good. Looking forward for the fix though, great plugin though. Been looking for this for quite some time :)

  11. Spoke to Wulf, he said he needed to update UFilter to be 100% compatable with BetterChat.

So keep an eye out for that update ;)

  12. Could this be changed so that it is x messages in x seconds? Sometimes someone might send a short burst of messages, but it isn't necessarily spam

  13. Made a version based on @Kinesis's request, if anyone else wants to test it before I release PM me.

  14. Ryan updated BetterChat Flood with a new update entry:

    1.0.2

  15. hey developer, really great that we finally got this updated, appreciated alot. would it perhaps be possibly too add /kick command to this if a players gets muted let's say 3 times, then perhaps a ban function incase it continues after a rejoin with continuous spam?

  16. Very Nice , Thanks for this Plugin!

  17. Calling hook OnUserChat resulted in a conflict between the following plugins: BetterChat - True (Boolean), BetterChatFlood (True (Boolean))

How can I disable BetterChat's Boolean?

  18. Ignore it, it doesn’t break anything afaik. Just a conflict, something plugin devs can’t prevent either.

  19. This has a conflict with BetterChat 5.0.12 / BetterChatFilter 1.2. If a user spams a censored word fast enough, it is uncensored, shows up in chat (ignoring the BetterChat filter) and does not have an error message. This ONLY happens if BetterChatFlood is reloaded BEFORE BetterChatFilter is.

    TL;DR:
To create a plugin conflict, first load BetterChatFlood, then BetterChatFilter

To alleviate the plugin conflict is first to reload BetterChatFilter
    Then, reload BetterChatFlood

When fixing the conflict, you have to wait several seconds in between the reloads, or else the conflict will continue again. I've not been able to consistently reproduce this (but I don't have any more time to at the moment)

Just trying to help out any players receiving plugin conflicts, or perhaps if the devs can learn more about this conflict and somehow get it resolved.
Thanks for your work and time guys.
