Best Linux OS distro for Rust server?

What You Think about Linux distributions for rust server??
And which is the best?

Debian8+?
Ubuntu 12+?

I have debian and i have some problems...
When i install fresh system and try to install rust server i have error with glibc... Rust need glibc 2.15 debian 8 have 2.17. So why i recive error?? I cant have greater version?

Ofc i can install server in glibc 2.17 and all works. But still i see this error...

For now i make downgrade to 2.15 and i dont recive errors.
But sometimes my plugins cant load when server starting.

And i thinking about change debian for ubuntu...
But i Think debian is better and stable...


Si what i can do?
Install ubuntu 12?
Install debian 8 dont downgrade glibc and leave this error?
Rust realy work only In glibc 2.15?

 

anyone know anything about this glibc? Because i plans to reinstall os for Thursday.
And i Think about this debian again, but i scary about this glibc 2.17...

 

Honestly in this day and age, Ubuntu is usually the best distro for anything server side, I know people can be passionate about their distro flavors, but being completely practical, Ubuntu is one of the easiest and most supported. It's global reach is massive and I find it fights with me less than some other distros. To give you some examples, Steam Linux focused Ubuntu first, Rasberry Pi os is Ubuntu based, it's also the most popular cloud based OS(on Amazon AWS and Rackspace). So I'd go with Ubuntu personally, it's tremendously easy to find solutions and help in regards to it with a simply google search where as other distros you could get lost.

Rust Server on Linux is still with the high consumption of RAM?

 

200ppl and 5-7gb Used. In fresh server.
2weeks after wipe comming to 10gb. But i have much plugins.


About ubuntu. You have probably glibc 2.23. You dont have problems with it?

 

I have 32gb ram So for me is easy. But i dont know why this engine have that lowest server fps. Empty server have 1024 w/o problems. 200 ppl 100-150 and jumping. Cpu Used 50% (with 2cores) memmory 6-9gb 2 weeka after wipe. Tickrate 15... That is realy crazy and i cant understand it.

 

I have the same FPS issue on my Linux box, no ppl FPS is at 976 - 1000 and 40+ drops down to 90-240 FPS...

Let me know if you find a solution to this. Other than that I love it, no more weekly server restarts or Rust restarts every 4-6hrs like I had to do on Windows.

 

Now i have ubuntu 16, tickrate 15, fpsmax 1024 and today my server have wipe. 200PPL 300-500fps. i think now is better (Map 4000)
