Hi OXIDE forums,
I'm looking for the best hosting company for EU (specially Turkey) -
I'm currently on Nitrous, and I have a server on gameservers but because of the pings it's never on the top of the line in the sever list (most of the times both of them are not even listed).
What would you suggest?
Thank you
Best hosting for EU

Gameservers are the best in my opinion.

I have too many problems with Gameservers ... If its your first time Gameservers is good but i preffer to install oxide manualy and remember to click the Button Stop Server before installing Oxide
-
Oh, my question is not entirely oxide related, but in general Rust hosting -
@Reneb - I never experimented with high user counts (max was 4 on my test server) -- how does gameservers deal with 50+ concurrent players?
-
My first server was on gameservers... It became popular, but after this DDoS started and gameservers haven't got anything to protect from flood or etc.
Moved to another one. -
@SannyOK where did you move?

http://moscow.ovh/ref-218 - if u need -

I do believe that they have Germany or maybe even turkey (not 100%) locations.
their support is awesome. And everything that can be done for you. Is. -
Or just buy a box
-
Box? What do you mean :O
-
You could rent a virtual or root server to host your own game server. That would give you full control over everything and you can choose where you want the server to be located in, but a bit know how is recommended for this.
I can recommend Host Europe but not sure what server locations they offer besides germany. -

Checking that!
Is this different than a VPS solution?
Also, do I need to setup windows on the VPS ? -
What's the server hosting with most DDOS protection?

is that still and issue, even today?!
-
well GameServer is for sure ^^
they hide there server IPs so even if the server gets DDOSeD, players wont be able to join BUT players already connected will not feal the difference
(they have different ips 1 that shows in the list, 1 that is actually the real ip where the game is)
+ they have standard DDOS protection like any others -

Update - GamesServers is okay currently, I'm using it since I've opened the toic and I didn2T have any primary issues with it.
However I see a lot of people (in the rcon console) that et disconencted with this error:
"Steam: k_EAuthSessionResponseAuthTicketCanceled"
Not sure what it's all about. -
Dont believe that is server related.
Its the auth that steam sends to the server to verify the person is using ligit copy of the game etc (i believe correct me if im wrong)
Exiting the game/closing steam when still in the server will probs cause it -
Hmm I see..
On the other hand (about gameservers) I still don't see good pings. It's generally somewhere between 70-100.
