Hello, I got banned from a battlefield server. 100 Plane Airdrops! is the server. MeatCircus is the owner.
I am also banned from his steam group so I can not appeal it.
I asked him to restart the server due to a lagging issue, and I guess he was having alot of people annoy him, because he was extremely hostile over it.
So i left his server and decided to call it a night. The next day I rejoined but was banned.
I tried other battlefield servers, I am banned on ALL Battlefield servers, including ones I never been to before.
Here is my Steam URL
Steam Community :: Game Over Man
Here is the screenshot of the admin going off on me

Is there a way to appeal being placed on a ban list? I dont want to return to his server, but banning me on all servers because he was upset seems a gross abuse of admin powers.
Anyway, I tried asking on Steam and Reddit, without luck. Also since it is not an official server, Facepunch wont be much help.
And is it really as easy as renting a server, placing somebody's Steam ID on a ban list and they are banned on all servers? No verification, no proof needed? What is stopping people from renting a server and adding thousands of names just to be a jerk?
Thanks.

This is the wrong place to ask to get unbanned.
No, all server bans are local, unless the server owner uses something like my BanSync plugin to share bans with other servers (there's probably other alternatives too). This usually implies that the server owners using the same ban database all trust each other.
The only thing that will ban you globally is VAC.
It would be terrible if server bans were global, as you do not even need to rent a server to host a server, anyone can just download the server files and host a server themselves. -
Steam told me to try reddit. Reddit told me to try here. Guess I wont be playing Battlefield for Rust anymore. Thanks for your insight reply. -

I found the admin who banned me. Not a very pleasant reply. I had originally ask the guy to restart the server due to lag-it was a battlefield server -they require restarts more often than normal. he didnt take kind to being asked/told how to run his server. Didnt know I was banned until I tried to join.
Here is the reply from today
I also have the screenshots of me asking him to restart the server. A real shame that players have this much power over a game to ban players just because they want to.Attached Files:

I dont know
why users enter on servers to insist on their "recommendations" about the managing of the server.
If you dont like the server just get out...
and if they think they are SO Good admins, then I can recommend on Make their owns servers. -
The issue is resolved. I successfully contacted the admin and was able to get removed. He was using RustAdmin as one of the posters above suggested and its a popular tool on modded servers.
Battlefield is a fast base pvp map. Has gun kits and the focus is more pvp, though you can build, but most people have c4 from kits. So no real point.
There are only a handful of US and low ping Battlefield Servers that I can access, and when 100% of them was banning me, I was a bit distraught. But all has been resolved.
Many thanks. Staff can lock/delete/archive this.
