Solved Ban on death

Can anyone make a plugin so if you die you get temp banned for 1 hour please? been looking everywhere and cant seem to find it.

 

Out of interest, is this for a hardcore-style server?

In addition, this is how you could go about doing this:

Detect when a user dies with a hook
Get the user SteamID
Assign them a permission such as "banned"
Set a 1 hour timer
Kick them
When a player joins, reject the connection if they have this permission
Remove the permission after the timer has ended

Would it be easier to just add a respawn timer? is there one of those around already?

 

You are not going to have many players if they get banned for 1 hr every time they die

It might not what you are asking but its the truth think if you joined a server you fall and die or a wolf or bear kills you or another player then you get banned you try to rejoin it says you are banned do you think you will ever rejoin that server again I know I would not

One can only assume the OP is running some sort of survival server, I made this exact thing for a survival gamemode.
Why don't you just post it? You are always fixing shit, bout time you released something don't you think?

 

I code many other things on other sites so can't give my time supporting plugins on here as well. The help I give for now is enough if and when I do get time in the future I might post some plugins

 

I didnt want to appear rude, I'v been looking for over a week and I'v seen too many people mocking me instead of helping me, it's more like eroding my patience, I apologize if this guy is the real deal.

 

You should not be rude to someone who is only asking a question if you answered it then I would of pmed you about the plugin that I started and I was close to finishing the coding. I have never asked for money for the work I do here and might never in the future.

Its for a survival server yes, for just a few friends and myself, nothing serious, we just wanted to test it out for when they add mutants back in.

Glad the manner is solved, but would like to let you know, alot of devs on here are really friendly especially resistance and k1llyou, but as I know from experience many devs like to know what they are making the code for, this can help to add the correct features and not have the mod fall short of requirements.
