Hi Fuji, i see your new plug but i don't understand the totality of this function (because i'm fr i think)

It's for manually load a old map save by the server ?

It extends the normal backup functionality ( server.backup ).
This function has a limitation to 4 savepoints only, which made it hard to keep frequent backups without a to high time-space between.
And there's also no inbuilt timer function and no feedback like "backup complete".'

This plugin fullfils ALL those needs, as you can set up a retention( revision) by any number you might need (number of backps), and you can set it to auto-backup on each server-start...and so on

thankyou for this, we just had our second rollback in 2 weeks and each time the shitty rust backup hasn't been backing up the save file for days. Just had to x10 everything to keep people happy since they're big bases are small now.

 

So it worked for you and saved your day, or any problems?

 

Well no it's more it'll save the day if/when we have another crash that has to utilise the backup, wish I'd installed it the first time it happened.

I've confirmed it's working properly though, got 4 folders all with 1 hour save file increments Had a bit of a moan at Facepunch on Reddit about making it work properly from the get go without plugins.

 

Yep...Without plugins, its really a bad-ass thing...no interval, nothing to setup...crap.
A good thing to switch to is to let it backup direct on server-startup...the rest depends on personal needs, but you can extend the folder revision to what you need..maybe 20, maybe 50

 

Worthless.

 

Not real implemented since the inbuilt autobackup on startup does'nt work flowless together.
But not "Worthless"...

 

Just got phukt big time. not using it anymore.

 

How come? Works fine for me, got it backing up every hour and I have 4 folders and hour apart.

 

check the dates, and contents.
i rely on saveinterval now.

 

It needs to be reworked. It doing some trouble on start doing double backups. I'm missing atm the right file/folder action commands to make it full compatible. but working on an update...

Mainly interested in the save file, and each folder has 1 at 1 hour intervals. Fair enough if it's having issues for you, I sure as hell know I get weird issues with some of my plugins when others dont. AntiOfflineRaiding has been broken in one way or another for ages,

 

Don't put a developer down like this, things change every month in rust and if you have as many plugins as this coder has you would find it is hard to get to everyone when a bug happens he is a good coder and it will be fixed when he gets to it, but there is no reason to put him down or blame him. He is a good guy give him respect

 

Relax, there is no Resistance here. Plugin doesnt work, it cost me tonight. Thats all im saying. Not trying to be Nasty.
