Any way to change an items in-game name?

For instance I want to change a particular supply signal to indicate it's for calling a heli instead of a plane. Change its name and or description.

 

You cannot change the name or description from what I am aware. You could probably change what it does though.

 

Alright yeah I'll probably just make it a command then and wherever the user is looking it'll create a circle of fire(did this previously messing around) and have it stay up until heli arrives. Thanks

 

If I'm not mistaken then there's no communication for item names (it'd be fairly difficult even if there was communications - you'd have to translate your stuff for every lang).
The server only knows the english translation, too.

 

Supporting multiple languages is nice but I tend to just stick with english, it's the universal language and I can't imagine there's very many countries with internet access these days they don't know it. It's far too important, as programming languages all english, business, media, etc...

 

You'd be surprised how many Rust players don't and prefer to use servers with players that speak their language and plugins that provide help in their language
