Hello,
After updating my server today, I can't seem to get it started! This exactly what I did..
- Launched Steam, ran app_update 258550, update downloaded
- Downloaded the latest Oxide-Rust_Linux.zip into my rust_dedicated folder and unzipped it, overwriting the existing files
- Attempted to launch the server..
- Got this error (link)
To troubleshoot, I tried to remove my server files from the 'server' directory in case it was a problem with a plugin or something. Same error, nothing changed. I uninstalled Oxide by running "app_update 258550 validate" which Google says removes Oxide and puts the stock files back in. Same error. Does anyone have any ideas on what to troubleshoot next?
Thanks in advance!

Run app_update 258550 validate again, then start the server and check the version to make sure it's the latest. Them make sure you are getting the LATEST Oxide build from today and try installing that.

What's the best way to verify I have the latest Rust? I ran "app_info_print 258550" from steamcmd and got lots of output..

The server doesn't start far enough to run any commands or connect to rcon

Yep. Same results. I'm thinking maybe try to just reinstall Rust from scratch and copy over my config/db files?
