1. I know it is known that we can't have URL links in chat from plugins.
    That said, the Rust game UI is capable of opening links in a browser. The Website button under server description next to Retry connection and Disconnect. That seems to work and probably can contain malicious website.
    I understand the security reasons tho. Similar to Keybinding restrictions.
    So, to deal with that, what do you think about Facepunch curated plugins in future? To have next level plugins that would have more permissions from the game.

    I don’t think that would be really maintainable and would be easily bypassable. If Facelunch makes it possible via the server, it’d be possible for all plugins.
     
  3. Not if the plugin needs some ID permission on the client side. How to implement that is another question.

    Facepunch might as well implement their own mod platform at that point.

    It just sucks a bit when I can't even have keybindings properly.

    Well, I suggested to Garry that they implement server-specific key binds that are instanced per server, but unsure if or when that may happen.
