Solved Unable to load permission files! (corrupt files)

    I'm getting a weird error after today's update and cannot give people specific permissions

    Unable to load permission files! Permissions will not work until the error has been resolved.
    => Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: d. Path 'donator.Perms', line 29, position

    any ideas?

    Don't modify your permissions file if you don't understand JSON . Run your permission file through a JSON validation tool online and you'll get the same error.

    I haven't modified anything. I just received this error today after updating the server and trying to add a new player to 'donator' rank.

    The file was likely corrupted by a username that had odd symbols in it. If you can paste it here, we may be able to fix it for you, else just shutdown the server, delete the file, and let it create a new one. We're not exactly sure what is causing it yet, but it's most likely symbols.
