Spawning with items?

Ok, so I am wondering if there is a way to spawn in with certain items, and when you respawn you respawn with those same items. For example you spawn with 10 blueberries and a hatchet, when you die you respawn with those same items. I know the kits plugin has "autokit" but it does not work (doesn't appear in config) is there any plugin anyone knows of?

1) Empty your inventory
2) Add in your inventory the items that you want players to have (10 blueberries and 1 hatchet)
3) /kit add "autokit"
4) /kit authlevel 2 hide true
5) /kit items

For testing: F1--> kill

P.S.: make the exact steps, don't rename the kit!
