1. Hi, am i right assuming that it's not possible to have a rust server hosted under linux with plugins that need the oxide patcher to work? (unless i were to manually update the dlls on every update)

  2. Why would a rust server need oxide patcher to work?

Oxide works on Windows and Linux, it's simply a mod for the Rust server. Oxide has provided Linux compatibility ever since Rust's server has had Linux support. You do have to install Oxide after each game update, as it is a mod.

  4. I use oxide patcher to hook methods that oxide does not support out of the box, is there another way to do that on linux than to use oxidepatcher?

Ah, the patcher. No, there is no Linux build of it at this time. Any custom patches you make would have to be done on a Windows machine.
