  4. Is there a plug in where I can assign specific privileges to moderators and limit others?

There are numerous plugins, just pick what you'd like to be a moderator privilege. I'd recommend growing the Plugins sections.

  6. I'm searching but not having much luck finding what I need :(

  10. I've got an remote server which I do not host myself. I am using an FTP program to operate my server. Is there a way to add admins without the .bat file?

Yes, you can follow the RCON steps or server.cfg setups in the first post.

  12. Sorry if it's hard to understand, typed this out in a hurry.

Basically, my community is trying to expand into Rust. Doing so we want to use the F1 admin spawning tool to spawn weapons and stuff for creating our VIP kits. I opened my own test server off of my computer and it worked fine when I added myself as admin, I could no clip around and spawn stuff. But on our actual server when we added ourselves to admins, can't do a single thing relating to admin commands (no-clipping, spawn items). We've done almost everything we know on trying to fix the issue, from thinking we might've corrupted the files somehow to completely reinstalling the server.

TL;DR - Even tho we're listed as Admins, we can't spawn in anything or use any Admin commands.

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

If you can't noclip or spawn, you more than likely are not actually listed as admin.

  14. Well we've checked the different files that list you as an admin or the users list (can't remember the files off of my head) and they listed us as admins.

And do they show as auth level 2 in your server logs when they connect?

  16. Gonna have to wait for the community owner to check that because I'm a Developer, but no dedi access.

I linked him this thread, so hopefully, he will see this and reply to you with the server logs stuff.

  17. Sorry for taking so long to reply, he's been busy.

    He sent me this:

So if any of those are supposed to be admin, they aren't being recognized as admin. Verify that those Steam IDs that you want to be admin are listed under the users.cfg section with ownerid.

  19. If you are the developer, you need full access so if the owner won't give it to you then threaten to leave and if he won't give you access then leave for real and don't go back, I know I could not work like that

  20. We got it working finally, a simple problem that probably shouldn't have taken this long to figure out it was it, but hey it's in the past now.

And I do agree with you partially, I know that it would be easier for me to work on the server if I had dedi access, but I'm still sort of new to the community (April 15th) so he's probably still learning to trust me. But I make do with it all by using Github.
